The agenda of the 10th edition of the Media Forum, which will take place on December 8 and 9, 2025, in Chisinau, includes several thematic workshops facilitated by national and international experts. The topics were consulted with media managers during the preparation of the Forum.
Anna Pohrebna, executive digital producer at Suspilne – Ukraine’s national public broadcaster – will facilitate the workshop “Effective promotion of journalistic products on social media.” Anna has over eight years of experience in managing social media platforms for both news and thematic projects at Suspilne. Previously, she worked as a journalist and news editor. She is a certified trainer and was a mentor for regional media in the Community Leaders program (Media Development Foundation) in 2024–2025.
In another workshop, which will take place on the second day of the Forum, international expert Jasper Steinlein, AI editorial manager at Deutsche Welle (Germany), will talk to participants about artificial intelligence tools to help the press. As editorial manager, Jasper is responsible for the practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in journalism and is also a strategist on Deutsche Welle’s AI team. His mission is to make AI tools truly useful to journalists so that they can focus on what only humans can do.
Online intimidation of journalists has become a widespread phenomenon in recent years. The workshop “Online harassment: how and where do we complain?” will discuss the protection of journalists against online attacks and threats, the existing legal framework, and practices for identifying and punishing individuals who threaten journalists. Practical recommendations will be provided by expert Cristina Durnea, a lawyer at the Independent Journalism Center (IJC). In addition to journalists and editors, representatives of various ministries and the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) have been invited to the workshop, which will be moderated by Alina Radu, editor-in-chief of Ziarul de Gardă.
