On Tuesday, June 20, Găgăuziya Radio Televizionu (GRT) Supervisory Council accepted the resignation of Vadim Anastasov from the position of the public company’s executive director. Iaroslav Bulgaru, GRT’s chief engineer, will be the acting head, GRT announces.
Vadim Anastasov announced his resignation upon filing an activity report. He declared that his decision was voluntary. When asked by the Supervisory Council members about the reasons for the resignation, Vadim Anastasov did not provide any answer.
The Supervisory Council intends to organize a new competition for the position of GRT executive director.
Vadim Anastasov was appointed GRT director on August 26, 2022, following a competition. During his mandate, public TV in Gagauzia switched to digital broadcasting, new projects were launched, and the company’s budget increased 1.5 times, according to GRT.
