{"id":8146,"date":"2023-08-03T10:37:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-03T07:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/media-azi.md\/peste-1-000-de-alerte-ce-vizeaza-libertatea-presei-inregistrate-de-ipi-de-la-inceputul-razboiului-in-ucraina\/"},"modified":"2023-08-30T15:35:26","modified_gmt":"2023-08-30T12:35:26","slug":"peste-1-000-de-alerte-ce-vizeaza-libertatea-presei-inregistrate-de-ipi-de-la-inceputul-razboiului-in-ucraina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/media-azi.md\/en\/peste-1-000-de-alerte-ce-vizeaza-libertatea-presei-inregistrate-de-ipi-de-la-inceputul-razboiului-in-ucraina\/","title":{"rendered":"<strong>Over 1000 Press Freedom Alerts Registered by the IPI since the Beginning of the War in Ukraine<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The International Press Institute (IPI) has so far registered 1049 press freedom alerts in the context of the war waged by Russia in Ukraine.<a href=\"https:\/\/ipi.media\/alerts\/?topic=russia-ukraine-war&amp;alert_type=0&amp;country=0&amp;years=0&amp;search=&amp;\"> According to the barometer<\/a>, 823 of them were committed by the Russian Federation\u2019s authorities and armed forces, and 64 incidents were committed by the authorities and armed forces of Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The barometer\u2019s data indicates that the most widespread types of abuse against media in Ukraine are verbal, online, and physical attacks (77.65%), and arrest or prosecution of media staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"634\" src=\"https:\/\/media-azi.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Screen-Shot-2023-08-03-at-10.24.14-1024x634.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7925\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, in the Russian Federation, censorship and excessive legal regulations on the media (52.89%), arrests and prosecution of journalists (26.90%), and restrictions of access to information (15.88%) prevail, according to the IPI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"602\" src=\"https:\/\/media-azi.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Screen-Shot-2023-08-03-at-10.24.24-1024x602.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7928\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The most recently registered abuses are also largely related to the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For instance, the Russian Prosecutor General\u2019s Office listed TV Rain, Russia\u2019s largest independent TV channel, as an \u201cundesirable\u201d organization since July&nbsp;25, thus banning the channel from operating in the country. In addition, on July&nbsp;26,&nbsp;2023, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs included Ukrainian TV journalist Nataliia Moseichuk in Russia\u2019s \u201cwatch list,\u201d accusing her of public incitement to \u201chatred or enmity.\u201d On the same day, the Investigative Committee of Russia declared it initiated a criminal case against Ukrainian journalist Yanina Sokolovskaya for spreading what Russian authorities regard as \u201cfake news\u201d about the war.
