These are such companies as Telesistem\u00a0TV (which owns Primul in Moldova and Accent\u00a0TV), Archidoc Group (the owner of Orizon\u00a0TV), and Telestar Media (which owns Canal\u00a02 and Canal\u00a03). The<a href=\"https:\/\/gov.md\/sites\/default\/files\/document\/attachments\/consiliul_174_2021_-_proces-verbal_nr._7_din_24.05.2024.pdf\"> decision<\/a> was adopted by the Council for Promoting Investment Projects of National Importance.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey breached the Council\u2019s request to provide a full information dossier by presenting the information and details of a single bank account, whereas they held five and eight other accounts in different banks, respectively. In each case, transactions which confirmed affiliation with the Plahotniuc-Sor group were identified,\u201d the Government\u2019s press release mentions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, the Council positively assessed the investments of the Satelrom-TV company (TV&nbsp;Drochia and Drochia&nbsp;FM), and requested Statis&nbsp;TV (Zona&nbsp;M) and Real&nbsp;Exim (Radio.md) to provide additional information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Council also decided to send final notifications to 36&nbsp;companies out of the 88&nbsp;which had previously failed to respond to the request to provide the information requested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decision refers to the new mechanism identified by the authorities and aimed at suspending TV channels\u2019 licenses, and adopted by the Parliament after promoting the legislative amendment in November and December last year, which<a href=\"https:\/\/media-azi.md\/cum-a-fost-introdus-mecanismul-ce-nu-permite-posturilor-tv-suspendate-sa-revina-in-emisie-explicatii-si-reactii\/\"> started circulating in the public space on the New Year\u2019s Eve<\/a>. On the basis of this procedure, in late&nbsp;2023, six companies which owned TV&nbsp;channels with suspended licenses during the state of emergency<a href=\"https:\/\/media-azi.md\/doc-posturile-tv-cu-licentele-suspendate-nu-vor-reveni-pe-micile-ecrane-decizia-autoritatilor\/\"> were left without their permissive documents<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three companies were left without permissive documents for TV\u00a0broadcasting and audiovisual services.
