Chisinau police fined the journalist Stefan Grigorita because he called ‘idiot’ the head of the Information and Communication Service of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Ion Mischevca, writes diez.md. The journalist was fined after Ion Mischevca filed a complaint with the police following a conflict that ensued between them in August.
Back then, the journalist sent Ion Mischevca a friendship request on Facebook to get some information related to education. The official said he would not accept his request because Stefan Grigorita had previously unfriended him. Then, an exchange of replies took place between them, and the journalist called him an ‘idiot’.
The communicator went to the police, and the journalist was fined with ten conventional units, i.e. MDL 500.
