In May we celebrate the Press Freedom Days. On this occasion, we yet again note that the Republic of Moldova still has major drawbacks in the press freedom.
Over the past six years, our country lost 36 positions in the Reporters Without Borders ranking, holding 91th position in 2019. At the same time, nine years ago the Republic of Moldova got the status of a country with a partially free press in the Freedom House reports – ‘label’ that we still have.
What are the reasons that explain this state of affairs and how do media professionals comment on them? Learn the answer to this question from the new Media Azi episode, hosted by the journalist Victoria Dodon in a new format.

The show can be viewed on www.moldova-azi.md, www.media-azi.md and www.mediacritica.md portals and on the IJC’s Youtube channel. The creation of Media Azi show was possible thanks to generous support from the American and British people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and UK Aid.
